KidsGuardingKids.org is a wonderful program that is focused on an initiative to bring awareness, accessibility, affordability, and response to the safety of all participants in the many sports and various activities across the country. In particular, the focus is on head injury, trauma and concussion prevention amongst all ages and levels. This has been a growing concern of parents, coaches, sports directors, athletes, physicians, and medical specialists alike. Due to the severity and increase in concussion related symptoms over recent years, more attention and focus needs to be put on the safety and resources available related to head trauma. In addition to bringing resources directly to local, state, and national programs, schools, academies and organizations to assist in the minimization of injury. This initiative, the only one of its kind, through it's partnerships and sponsors gives back portions of profits to specific organizations and research centers to assist with the continuation of studying, testing, and updating of vital information in this area.
To assist in subsidizing or funding of the program, funding and sponsorship monies are sought and raised to help subsidize the costs of the custom mouthguards to allow for as minimal a cost to the recipient as possible. This is a great opportunity for local businesses, large companies, schools and programs to be associated with such a positive and necessary initiative. Future goals would entail being able to supply custom mouthguards to every recipient in all programs for little to no cost. In addition, a portion of monies raised through this program will be donated back to the programs themselves and research centers to continue the quest for deeper understanding and assistance in this area.
